Editor’s Note:
Let’s rebrand the whole thing. Welcome the woeful weather, defer the diet and embrace indulgence.
Dry January... more like Try January. Eh? Eh? Any takers? Let’s be honest, it’s a bit of a funny time of year, so why not get out there and try something new - be it a hobby, a restaurant or even just a new way of thinking? The subjects we have featured in this edition of ‘cene all took that leap and tried something new.
In this issue, revered photographer Tony Davis uncovers his picture archive, giving us access to anera of authenticity. Elsewhere, musician Taren Gopi talks us through his beginnings in electronic music, artist Blondie Howden picks up a spray can and chases her dreams, while Vicki Lord turns from hairdresser to author. Rob Birch, of Stereo MC’s, talks Margate, we get knitting with Fashioned by Beth and we also celebrate the benefits of non-league football. Enjoy.
