WU-TANG CLAN’S GZA TO BRING THE C.R.E.A.M TO MARGATE
Rapper confirmed as latest act to join the Margate Summer Series in 2023
Leave your problems at home, leave your children at home, an' report to the pit…
Founding member of Wu-Tang Clan, GZA was a last-minute, and stunning addition to the 2023 Margate Summer Series., playing on Friday 18th August, 2023.
Widely considered as one of the greatest hip-hop/rap groups of all time, Wu-Tang Clan celebrate the 30th anniversary of seminal 1993 album ‘Enter The Wu (36 Chambers)’, which, now a triple-platinum release, famously delivered some of their biggest hits including ‘Protect Ya Neck’ and’ C.R.E.A.M’.
Regarded by many as the intellectual and philosophical heart of the Clan, GZA formed the group with The RZA and Ol’ Dirty Bastard after becoming massively disillusioned with the industry and with a resolve to do things their own way. He is a masterful (intelligent) ghetto storyteller without being ignorant. He spits thought provoking, street-bred raw lyrics, he’s the Wu-Tang Clan’s fountain of wisdom.
GZA is crossing the Atlantic this summer to perform all of the Wu Tang bangers, celebrating the prolific journey and era-defining work that has recently been made into a hit TV drama series, streaming now.
Hailing from Staten Island, New York, the group has released seven studio albums hitting Number 1 in the US and the UK with the 1997 record ‘Wu-Tang Forever’. So expect some monster hits as one of the founding rappers, and a hip hop icon take to the scenic stage.
