After almost 25 years, Pitcher & Piano Tunbridge Wells will rebrand as The Manor House.

Having operated as part of the Pitcher & Piano chain since 1999, general manager of 23 years Shaps, has purchased his share and partnered with Marstons to bring the bar into a new era, changing the outlook from a large chain to a locally-run business.

The team took to social media to say: “We have been here in Tunbridge Wells trading as part of the Pitcher & Piano chain for 24 years. Many generations have stories to tell and if only these walls could talk!

“Our team has stayed consistent with management, bar staff, chefs and door staff, who have been with us since day one! The scary part is that our children (who actually learnt how to walk on our infamous dance floor) are now a part of the team!”

The new look will include a revamp of the kitchen, with renowned local chef Daniel Gallegos Jimenes and his brand Mexcellent bringing authentic Mexican and latin food to The Manor House.

“Daniel and his family have lived in Tunbridge Wells for 12 years, with Daniel being head chef in some of the town’s most popular eateries. Daniel is passionate about bringing bold flavours and amazing ingredients to The Manor House and Tunbridge Wells. Expect casual dining with a fun & vibrant atmosphere- sombreros and maracas welcome!”

The first floor pub, basement nightclub and gardens will remain but with a new look and feel.

The launch of The Manor House is set for 24th & 25th of November.
