Lucy & Yak to open Canterbury this week

Socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand heads to Marlowe Arcade

Socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand Lucy & Yak (@lucyandyak_canterbury) has announced its newest opening, heading to Canterbury’s bustling Marlowe Arcade.

Opening on Friday October 25th, Lucy & Yak’s signature pink-painted store will welcome its customers and community to explore the latest releases and core collections - perfectly in time for Christmas. Inside, the new store will feature a soft pastel colour palette, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The store will also include three changing rooms and one accessible changing room, lovingly finished with wood furnishings throughout.

The new store is part of Lucy & Yak’s ambition to have a greater physical presence across the UK, providing more opportunities for face-to-face interactions with the Yak community. Each shop also aims to act as a PreLoved hub, promoting their circularity initiatives including their buyback scheme, whilst serving as a space for customers to recycle, repair or upcycle their clothes.

The expansion follows the successful launches of new stores in Bristol, Norwich, Nottingham, Cambridge, Manchester, Cardiff and Exeter, as well as the first outlet in Castleford, which have already proven just as popular with the brand's community as their beloved flagship store in North Laine, Brighton and the recently launched sustainability flagship store in The Lanes, Brighton.

“The new space will be another hub for creativity and community, giving us a chance to engage with our customers in person - we’ve absolutely loved meeting you all,” says co-founder of Lucy & Yak Lucy Greenwood. “We plan to continue building our Re:Yak buyback scheme as well as offering a space for meet ups with our core community - watch this space!”
