More than a million twinkling lights and seasonal sounds will once again transform Leeds Castle into a winter wonderland this Christmas as a series of dazzling new illuminated artworks are set to enchant visitors from 22nd November to 1st January

These stunning installations, inspired by the natural world and festive themes, have been created by internationally renowned artists and are guaranteed to add extra magic to the Christmas season.

Created by Culture Creative and produced in partnership with Sony Music, Christmas at Leeds Castle is a magical, after-dark trail for visitors of all ages.

While there is a chance you may see Father Christmas along the way, new highlights for 2024 include the Rainbow Trees by ArtAV. Ever-changing rainbow coloured trees stand proud along the edge of the trail route, shimmering in the night sky.

ArtAV is a UK based technical and creative studio with over 20 years of experience delivering unique audiovisual solutions in theatres, live shows, and public events.

Another must-see is Sea of Light by ITHACA Studio, a large-scale installation that covers the ground with thousands of individually controlled balls of LED light animated to a bespoke soundtrack.

ITHACA Studio is a group of award-winning experimenters who combine art, music and technology to make magical experiences with sound and light.

The trail will also showcase Light Lines by Culture Creative which spreads waves of colour across hundreds of pixel battens through the trees to create a dynamic light show.

Culture Creative has worked closely with Sony Music for more than a decade to create Lightscape and Christmas themed trails in various venues across the UK and overseas.

The new artworks join Leeds Castle’s already popular illuminated trail, featuring thousands of twinkling lights, seasonal scents, sparkling baubles, sparkling tunnels of light, and vibrant woodland and lakeside displays.

Matthew Findlay, Head of UK trails for Sony Music/RG Live, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing back Christmas at Leeds Castle for 2024 which will feature incredible, new artistic innovations sure to delight and amaze visitors of all ages.

“The feedback has been fantastic for last year’s trail, but we’re determined to make the 2024 edition the ultimate seasonal experience for all the family,” he added.
