MACKNADE TO OPEN IN FOLKESTONE

Macknade will be joining the thriving food and drink community on Folkestone Harbour Arm later this summer.
Macknade will be collaborating with the Folkestone Harbour Seafront Development Co to introduce a new dining concept to this fantastic food & drink destination.
The latest venture from Macknade will see an informal restaurant space with indoor and outdoor seating for 120 people open on Folkestone Harbour’s ‘Harbourside’, overlooking the White Cliffs and showcasing a menu that features provenance-rich, quality ingredients, cooked simply to bring out their flavours.
The restaurant will be complemented by a curated retail range, which includes a selection of produce used on the new menu, as well as wine, beer and cider, and a delicatessen serving cheese, charcuterie and other picnic essentials.
All of the wines on the shelves will also be available with free corkage in the restaurant, meaning you can drink in and pay the same price as you would for a retail bottle – giving customers the opportunity to try some fantastic wines from local vineyards and further afield.
Shane Godwin, Managing Director of Macknade, said: “Folkestone represents an incredibly exciting phase for us, and our new space forms a key part of the development and regeneration that is taking place across the town.
“The harbour arm itself is a thriving community, and together, we can have even more impact on how people are consuming & engaging with food & drink. In true Macknade fashion, we will be showcasing the abundance of fantastic growers, producers & farmers on our new Folkestone doorstep through our menu and on our shelves.”
