Is that surprise I see in your eyes?

Three little pigs went to market and defied the odds by bringing out another magazine. There is an alarming statistic that advises those stupid enough to take it on, that a huge (almost vomit-inducing) percentage of titles that launch, never make it to a second edition.

Well, hello there. We are still here. And to the friendly person from another Kent publication that kindly recited this to us in an apparent flex of muscles, I quote: “the only thing to fear, is fear itself”. And you’re scared.

In the summer edition, Team ‘cene gets up close and personal with the county’s superstar DJ Abbie McCarthy. Star of BBC Introducing in Kent, Abbie is responsible for championing all the new musical talent coming from our corner of the UK, so we want to champion her, too!

We get back to nature with Crowther Plant, the leisurewear brand from Margate that makes sustainable and environmentally friendly fashion. The summer theme continues, as you’d expect, with our cider spectacular, outlining the finest fermentations farmed for fans of fruit-flavoured beverages.

Try and say that five times fast. Our Bite Club visits four amazing street food concepts from across the county, not all of which are served from the back of a van.

We have interviews with drum and bass star Mollie Collins and mix-masters, Shapes, ahead of the Southbeats Festival.

There is coffee and music pairing , cinema premieres, comedians, tattoo artists, cycling routs, travel tips…the list goes on.

Just bloody read it, will ya.
