After opening for the first time in 2024, The Board Room at Folkestone Harbour Arm was an instant success.
Perched on the Quayside edge and with bi-fold windows stretching across the entire frontage, the views across the channel and towards the White Cliffs must make this one of the most beautiful competitive socialising venues around.
The Board Room is home to three 18ft, Canadian Maple Shuffleboards and four state-of-the-art digital dart boards by industry leaders Fly By Darts.
The third shuffleboard was added just a matter of months after opening to meet the incredible demand for one of the fastest growing group sports in the world and Folkestone’s new favourite way to get together.
With the dynamics of the games already well established and enjoyed throughout the year, in June 2026 the experience was transformed by the introduction of ‘Hugo’s’ – a new, independent food operator brought in to completely reimagine the food and drinks on offer.
After a short close to create a new, dedicated dining area and kitchen that allowed for a full, dining experience, Hugo’s would launch with an impressive menu of small plates and sharing boards (both of which can be enjoyed mid-game) as well as larger plates.
Prawns Pil Pil, Padron Peppers, Pan Fried Sea Bass, Confit Duck Leg – this is so much more than the finger food you might at other competitive socialising spots.
