More than 100 Virtual Reality experiences to choose from at new Lockmeadow venue
A new state-of-the-art virtual reality experience, VR World, will be opening in Maidstone’s Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre this weekend (Saturday 23rd September).
The first of its kind in Kent, VR World (@the_vrworld ), which is opening in the former Burger King unit in the complex, will offer more than 100 experiences to choose from amongst seven game units.
The games will be available as single and multiplayer modes and will be available for Stay & Play, birthday parties and corporate experiences.
“We are thrilled to be opening Maidstone’s first and only virtual reality world at Lockmeadow Entertainment Complex. VR World will provide an exciting experience for all to enjoy,” said Ed Walter, owner of VR World.
“After much research, we’ve selected the games and pods that will suit most ages to provide an immersive escape that will tap into all senses and take the user into another exciting world. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to VR World!”
Games on offer will include Virtual 360, Gattling Gunner, Flight Simulator, Co-op Cage: Survival, Virtual Racer, The Pods, and VR Explorer, with each game lasting around five minutes and there is a mixture of single-player, 2 player and 4 player games.
Players won’t need to pre-book or stick to a time slot, they can come along and play just one or a number of games. VR World will be offering private hire for birthdays and group bookings through the website enquiry system or by emailing info@vr-world.co.uk.
Games are paid for using VR World tokens. Tokens can be purchased for £2, or take advantage of the buy 5 and get 1 free offer. Machines take a minimum of two tokens to play and the tokens required vary from machine to machine.
