Gulbenkian announces bumper comedy programme for 2023
Tim Key, Rhys James, Simon Brodkin, Lucy Porter and Babatunde Aléshé all head to Kent
Kent University’s artistic hub Gulbenkian Arts Centre is launching its spring season with an excitingcomedy programme featuring some of the biggest names on the circuit.
Kicking off the season is star of Mock The Week and Live at The Apollo Rhys James with his show Split Milk, followed by Fringe favourite and recent Strictly star Jayde Adams with her critically acclaimed show Men, I Can Save You.
After a sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe 2022, Tim Key brings his sharp blend of stand-up and poetry to Gulbenkian Arts Centre in Mulberry, and TV and radio favourite Lucy Porter brings all her wit and wisdom to Wake-Up Call.
Fresh from The Jungle, Gogglebox favourite and rising star Babatunde Aléshé brings his new show Babahood to Kent. Having been crowned the most viewed British comedian of all time on TikTok, world-famous prankster Simon Brodkin brings his outrageous show Screwed Up to the stage.
Throughout the spring season, Gulbenkian Arts Centre will also be hosting its monthly Funny Rabbit Comedy Club. Featuring comedians Scott Bennett and Joe Sutherland in April and Jonny Awsum and Stephanie Laing in May, the show promises to be a laugh-a-minute evening of hilarity.
