Fourth Wall Folkestone brings back Christmas-not-Christmas’ Design & Art Fair
The fair champions shopping locally during the festive season
Fourth Wall Folkestone marks its second birthday on the Old High Street with the return of their ‘Christmas-not-Christmas’ Design & Art Fair from Friday 24th November to Sunday 24th December.
‘Christmas-Not-Christmas’ Design + Art Fair is a celebration of creativity in the area and champions shopping locally during the festive season. It focuses on “objects that are both beautiful, functional and make fantastic gifts”.
All the items available to purchase have been made by artists, designers and creatives living or working in Kent, many based in Folkestone itself.
Since opening, Fourth Wall Folkestone has offered a vast range of workshops, events and exhibitions on a free, pay-what-you-can, or donation basis.
They’ve hosted local artists and groups artRefuge, Origins Untold and Folkestone Fringe and internationally acclaimed artists such as Pure Evil whose exhibitions fundraised in support of the space.
Fourth Wall became a not-for-profit Community Interest Company in 2022 and as a creative research space has been supported by the University of Kent, NHS England, and the National Institute for Health Research.
