Wuthering Heights (2026) filmed scenes in Kent
Kent Film Office has confirmed that filming took place
Out in cinemas now, Wuthering Heights (2026), is inspired by Emily Bronte’s classic novel of the same name - but did you know that the film used locations in West Kent as a backdrop.
While the 1978 track of the same name has links to the county through Kent’s own Kate Bush, the romantic psychological drama starring Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff and Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw, has also used Kentish landscapes as a backdrop to the new film.
Kent Film Office confirmed that filming took place at the stunning Knole Park in Sevenoaks early last year.
Knole Park is the last medieval deer park in Kent surrounding a 600-year-old estate and is managed by the National Trust. But it has been no stranger to a director’s eye - other productions that have filmed there include Mary & George (2024), The Favourite (2019) and Pirates of The Caribbean - On Stranger Tides (2011).
The new film, adapted and directed by Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve (2018-2022), Saltburn), the new film also stars Hong Chau(The Whale, The Menu) as Nelly Dean, Shazad Latif (Rogue Agent (2022), Toast of London (2013)) as Edgar Linton, Alison Oliver(Conversations with Friends, The Order) as Isabella Linton, Martin Clunes (Vanity Fair (2018), Arthur & George (2015)) as Mr. Earnshaw and Owen Cooper (Adolescence, Film Club) as a young Heathcliff.
Wuthering Heights (2026) will be released in UK Cinemas on Saturday 14th February 2026.
