Seafood pop up SHELL GARAGE at bar and bottleshop STINGRAY

Shell Garage’s set menu will showcase locally-caught seafood, fresh off the boat in Deal

Roving seafood pop up Shell Garage will roll in to dock at Margate bar and bottleshop Stingray this Easter weekend.
Shell Garage is the creation of chef Jim Thomlinson, AKA The Merman of Margate. Following a successful wave of events at Folkestone’s Space Bar, Shell Garage will take over Stingray’s kitchen for Easter weekend: Friday 15 and Saturday 16 April.

Located on a Victorian-tiled parade tucked just off Margate’s busy Northdown Road, Stingray is a specialist bottleshop and bar which - since opening in June 2021 - has become a firm favourite with locals as well as visiting tourists who stumble across this hidden gem.

Shell Garage’s set menu will showcase locally-caught seafood, fresh off the boat in Deal. It will conclude with a Portuguese style ‘Prego’ sandwich: crusty bread filled with garlic-smothered rare beef fillet.

Courses will be paired with drink suggestions and an optional wine flight will be on offer.
