New ‘Harbourside’ dining experience planned for Folkestone’s Harbour Arm
The exciting proposals are for three large restaurants in shipping containers on the quayside
They’ve brought you Beachside, the Goods Yard not to mention a whole host of delectable craft food and drink traders.
But now the team at Folkestone Harbour Arm (@fstonehbourarm) is stepping it up a gear yet again with their latest plan.
Called Harbourside, the new concept will involve a brand new quayside dining experience boasting views across the sea, over to The Warren, the White Cliffs and on a clear day you’ll even catch a glimpse of France.
The proposals include a selection of large restaurants, the biggest on the harbour arm in fact, set inside a collection of shipping containers.
“They will come together to create a wholly unique destination, unlike anywhere else on the South East coast,” explains the harbour arm team.
“These proposed units build on the success of our previous restaurants hosted in cleverly converted shipping containers.
“They are more than a third larger with greater outdoor space and improvements have been made to enhance customer experience.”
Since its inception in 2014, when extensive renovations were carried out to create what you see today, Folkestone Harbour Arm has become one of the county’s most popular food, drink and entertainment destinations, brimming with trendy traders, buzzing events and a market.
You’ll find the popular Big Greek Bus, The Lighthouse Champagne Bar, Burrito Bouy, and Sole Kitchen among others.
Then there’s its Goods Yard, which launched late 2020 and is home to the Harbour Screen, the Little Greek Bus, Barney and the Pizza, the Goods Yard Bar and Go Dutch among a host of traders.
At the East Yard you’ll find Docker Taproom, Dr Legumes and Harbour Coffee Co.
The arm’s Beachside spot offers palm trees and a laid back vibe, with food and drink from Little Rock and the Pilot Beach Bar.
