Weather Study Reveals Canterbury as UK's Hottest Location

Five Kent locations make it into the top 20 hottest places in the UK

 With summer starting to head towards the exit door, a new piece of research has emerged to unveil the hottest locations in the UK.

To find out, TheDozyOwl.co.uk utilised Met Office climate data to establish the hottest UK locations based on variables such as average temperature, windspeed and rainfall.

 TheDozyOwl.co.uk found that Canterbury City (Kent) is in first place with an overall score of 7.89 out of 10! The city, best known for its Cathedral, has one of the highest averages for sunshine hours (704.64) and the highest average humidity (78.39%) putting it in the top spot!

Ashford District, also located in Kent, is in second place, with an overall score of 7.82/10

The Folkestone and Hythe District has an overall score of 7.40/10 earning the locations a joint ranking of 17th place. Folkestone and Hythe boasts the highest average sunshine hours (712.91) of the top 20 and the highest average humidity (79.30%). However, Southwark is warmer with the average temperature being 22.80◦c

Tunbridge Wells District (7.33) another area located in Kent, has one of the highest windspeeds in the top 20 at 3.27 m/s! So, you’ll enjoy a nice breeze as you wonder around the district.
