KERB AND DREAMLAND MARGATE COLLAB ON SENSATIONAL STREET FOOD

A pick of the hero dishes for this summer at Kerb x Dreamland

This summer, Dreamland has teamed up with London street-food aficionados KERB to curate a stunning line-up of the county’s outstanding magicians of munch.

Visitors to the legendary beachside amusement park will be able to choose exactly what style of street food they want to enjoy alongside a season of live music, spectacular events and iconic rides. But, when there’s so much on offer, making that choice isn’t always easy!

So, to avoid food FOMO, we got in touch to find out which are the most popular dishes and the reasons why you need to try them when you visit

T’S TACOS (VIP AREA)

@ts_tacos_kent

Hero Dish: Slow-cooked pulled pork topped with ancho honey, coriander & crispy onion crumb.

The reasons why:

This taco took us a while to develop and incorporates multiple flavours and textures which we believe works really well. We marinade pork shoulder overnight in loads of garlic, lime juice and traditional seasonings. This is then slow-cooked until it falls apart. Don't forget about that crackling, super crunchy and mixed with crispy onions.

Special features:

Ancho honey is made in house, we mix local honey with ancho (dried poblano pepper) to give that sweet and savoury hit when drizzled over the pork. What more can you ask for eh?

‘Cene verdict: You had me at Taco…

RAD BURGER

@radburgerco

Hero dish:

The mouthwatering, smashed patties of the original Rad Beef Burger.

The reasons why:

It was the first burger we ever created, almost 13 years ago now and it has been so popular that it has never left the menu since.

Special features:

Of course, we have added in the halloumi, mango chutney with garlic mayo,all over the  juicy beef.

‘Cene verdict: You’re the bun that I want!

SEA SHANTY

Hero dish:

It has to be our Classic Fish & Chips.

The reasons why:

Because of the crispy golden batter, the fresh flaky cod and homemade tartare sauce... how could we choose anything else, especially here by the seaside in Margate?

Special features:

We add a touch of turmeric in the batter, for a hint of flavour and that golden colour!

‘Cene verdict: Got to try the new cod on the block!

BIRDIE MACS

Hero dish:

Our Buffalo loaded tenders!

The reasons why:

How do you make our banging fried chicken tenders even better?! Load them with hot sauce, cooling ranch mayo and a sprinkle of chives... It’s an absolute crowd favourite for a reason!

Special features:

Our chicken is marinated in our cajun buttermilk recipe before we flour and fry it. We only use the famous Frank’s Hot Sauce on our buffalo tenders, while our ranch mayo is made in-house!

‘Cene verdict: We are cluckin’ mad for it!

HIDE & GREEK

@hideandgreek

Hero dish:

Marinated Chicken & Halloumi Wrap

The reasons why:

It combines tender, flavourful chicken with the rich, savoury taste of halloumi, all wrapped up in a fluffy handmade pitta.

Special features:

We import all our meat and bread directly from Greece, ensuring authentic and high-quality ingredients. The fresh, homemade tzatziki and secret house seasoning take it to another level, making it a standout choice on the menu!

‘Cene verdict: Greece is the word!

BIG SHOT HOT DOGS

@bigshotdiner

Hero dish:

Order the chilli dog – beef sausage, smoked chilli con carne, blowtorched cheese and a signature zig-zag of chipotle mayo. Get your mouth around this one  – we dare you!

The reasons why:

You can’t go wrong with the Big Shot hot dogs. Expect giant American Dogs with a range of flavours (including vegan options) plus exciting house-made toppings.

Special features:

Did you not hear what we said….? Beef sausage, smoked chilli con carne and blowtorched cheese!

‘Cene verdict: Hot Diggity Dog!
