SUMPTUOUS SEAFOOD AT SAMPHIRE IN WHITSTABLE

Supported Article: proud to showcase exceptional seasonal ingredients from local farms, fishermen & producers

Located just off the seafront in Whitstable’s high street, Samphire has been a destination for locals and tourists for almost 18 years.

The focus has always been on making the best use of Kentish and British produce and the team are proud to showcase exceptional seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, fishermen and producers.

“Seafood is a core part of our menu,” they say. “From day-boat fish to our classic fish pie, bowls of steaming creole mussels and amazing oysters. We also use a small selection of local farms to supply us with ethically-reared cuts of beef, plus whole lambs, pigs and venison, which we butcher in-house. This approach gives us access to the highest-possible-quality, grass-fed meat cooked on our charcoal grill. Expect thick-cut, dry-aged rib-eye steaks for two, mutton chops, smoked sausage and more.”

Samphire is open every morning for breakfast, with its classic Eggs Benedict, Royale and Forrester leading the way - although spicy Turkish eggs, smoked thick-cut bacon and the house-made sausage muffin are all worthy contenders. On Sundays, the focus is on the roast. Aged beef rump, pork belly porchetta, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings all have pride of place.

“At Samphire, we care deeply about service. Our wonderful front-of-house team go above and beyond to deliver the best possible experience for our guests, be it for a weekday breakfast, a lunchtime catch-up with friends over our set menu [£30 for three courses or £25 for two, including wine], a romantic Friday night dinner or a family Sunday lunch. Samphire will always be there to make these moments special. We can’t wait to see you soon.”
