Having opened in December 2023, Natalina’s is a family-owned Italian delicatessen and cicchetti bar in Sandgate.
You will find artisanal freshly-made pasta, breads, sauces, a fully-stocked deli counter, freshly-baked authentic pasticcini (pastries), fresh salsiccia and beautifully-curated Italian retail food products, as well as negronis and piccoli morsi, all with a beautiful beach and, on clear days, France as a backdrop.
“Natalina’s Deli was born of a passion to share my beloved Italian heritage by creating a culinary experience as close to being in my Nonna’s kitchen as possible,” says Angelica, “providing a well-balanced Italian food retail offering so that people can create memories with our food and sharing those with their loved ones.
“I believe that the kitchen or dining room table is the heart of the family. It’s where we all meet to discuss our day, challenges and wins, coming together to support one another and commune.
“Referencing my Italian upbringing around my Nonna and Nonno’s table, we’ve created an environment where everyone feels welcome, nourished and relaxed.
“The food I create is made with love, thought and a passion for warming others’ tummies as well as their hearts!”
Each speciality panino has been designed in-house alongside all of the freshly-made lasagna, melanzane parmigiana, pasta, sauces and salsiccia from family recipes.
“It’s the best feeling when you see the little ones in our deli dancing to some vintage Italian music whilst choosing their cannolis!
“We are a sit-in [in our beautiful bay windows] or takeout, so you can enjoy your filled-to-the-brim ciabattini, pasticcino and anything else you like on the beach!
“Our philosophy is ‘dolce far niente’, slow living, and the languid savouring of the delectability of life, food, wine and loved ones!
