Vintage Hot Rods take centre stage at new Drag Race in Kent
Velocity Vintage Drags will be running 1/8 mile races at RAF Manston in May
A brand new drag race that will feature 40s and 50s era vintage cars will head to Kent this Spring in a spectacle that is sure to grab the attention of petrol heads everywhere.
Velocity Vintage Drags will be running 1/8 mile races at RAF Manston in Thanet from 3rd - 5th of May 2025 and will show off Pre-1959 Hotrods and American cars in a series of events.
Organisers say: “Saturday consists of a day of Grudge racing for all race participants. Sunday will be the elimination event. We have three categories with the winners taking the £500 prize money kindly donated by our three sponsors, O’Neill’s: 4 Bangers, Royal Kustoms: V8 Flatheads and NAMCO: Overhead Valves.”
Camping will be allowed from Friday (racers only) and open to all on Saturday night at no charge.
The weekend is open to spectators and the public.
