Social gaming space The Board Room opens in Folkestone
Shuffleboard, interactive darts and Iron Pier Brewery beers
Brand new social gaming venue The Board Room has opened at Folkestone Harbour offering shuffleboard, interactive darts and craft beer.
Developed in collaboration with Gravesend-based Iron Pier Brewery, and The Social Gaming group, The Board Room has capacity for up to 150 people and is home to two 18ft Canadian maple shuffleboards from leading shuffleboard brand SHUFL, as well as four state-of-the-art, classically designed digital dartboards from Flyby Darts.
Iron Pier’s line-up of craft beers, as well as locally sourced ciders, wines and cocktails are the perfect thirst quenchers to accompany a gaming session. For true lovers of real ale, The Board Room will be Folkestone Harbour’s first venue to offer cask beer. A selection of sharing boards with charcuterie and cheeses are also available.
Gaming
The Board Room at Folkestone Harbour is home to two handcrafted, championship grade SHUFL tables, featuring their unique curved playing surface, which adds a new dimension to the game and ensures a fun experience for all abilities. Play the unique SHUFL curve and have more fun as a beginner or perfect your skills and use it to take out your opponents.
Visitors to Folkestone Harbour can get their SHUFL on by booking here and prices start from £20 per table for one hour. Up to eight players can play in any one session so its great for groups of friends and corporate bookings.
Also available at The Board Room is Flyby darts, a revolutionary take on the classic pub past time with state-of-the-art tech. Have your skills tracked and tabulated across several thrilling, interactive games; from the quintessential 501 to high—stakes Killer, with easy-to-follow rules.
Dartboards can be booked here and prices start from £8 for one hour. Up to 8 players can play on one dartboard.
