Screen South, in partnership with Seaview Studio and Folkestone Music Town, is delighted to announce the launch of Music Videos in May 2026, a creative programme bringing together Kent’s musicians and filmmakers to produce a series of original and innovative music videos.
The project is now open for applications from:
• Music artists (soloists, bands or duos) with original, rights-cleared tracks
• Video directors and filmmakers, including artists working with moving image, animation, or digital forms
Selected musicians and directors will be creatively paired to develop and produce a music video, supported by Screen South’s experienced team and the facilities at the organisation’s Digital Hub in Folkestone.
Music Videos in May 2026 aims to spotlight Kent’s diverse creative talent, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration and experimentation. Each music video will include a creative or digital element, whether through 360° filming, VFX, green screen, mixed media, digital compositing, VR, or other imaginative techniques.
The completed music videos will be premiered at a public screening event in May 2026 as part of Folkestone Music Town’s Music in May festival. This will be followed by wider release in June.
