New Mark Wahlberg Christmas movie The Family Plan 2 films scenes in Faversham, Kent.

Faversham location has been confirmed by Kent Film office

It has been revealed that new Mark Wahlberg Christmas film The Family Plan 2 used backdrops in Faversham, Kent, for scenes.

The American action comedy follows the Morgan family as they vacation to England for Christmas, where dad Dan Morgan’s (Wahlberg) past as a covert assassin comes back to haunt them.

The production visited Kent to film at Hollowshore Boatyard in Faversham, doubling for ‘Port Inconnu’ in France, where the Morgan family dock their boat and leave for Paris, Kent Film Office has confirmed.

Scenes where the Morgan family are driving through a suburban street also look suspiciously like Faversham (you can see this in the above trailer) - but that hasn’t been confirmed.

Situated on the North Kent coast, where Faversham Creek and Oare Creek meet, you will find Hollowshore. It is surrounded by unspoilt marshland, and nearby is The Shipwright’s Arms, a 17th Century boarded pub full of nooks and crannies and very much kept in its original form.

Directed by Simon Cellan Jones (Arthur the King, The Family Plan), the film stars Mark Wahlberg (Boogie Nights, The Departed) as Dan Morgan, Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, Pixels) as his ex-decathlete wife Jessica Morgan, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Eternals) as Aidan, Zoe Colletti (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Annie) as the Morgan’s eldest child Nina Morgan, Van Crosby (Splitting Up Together) as their middle child Kyle Morgan and Reda Elazouar (Sex Education (2021), Pirates) as Nina’s boyfriend Omar.
