New underground house music series Woof! launches in Margate this summer
Carefully selected guest DJs, an intimate basement dancefloor and vinyl played through a heavyweight soundsystem
A brand new underground house music series known as ‘Woof!’ launches in Margate this summer.
Curated by House Dog, the new basement party series lands at Hoffs with Smokin Jo, Maslow Unknown and Nyra across a three-date summer programme.
Built around carefully selected guest DJs, an intimate basement dancefloor and vinyl played through a heavyweight soundsystem, Woof! aims to reconnect with the raw energy, togetherness and tribal spirit that first drew people to dance music culture.
Woof! is curated by House Dog, the DJ behind the project, whose journey through House music has taken him from a residency at Café Mambo Ibiza to clubs and festivals around the world. With Woof!, he returns to the kind of smaller room that first inspired his love of the culture, placing the focus firmly on the people, the space and the music.
Launching on Friday 26th June, Woof! welcomes house music pioneer Smokin Jo. One of the most respected names in House music, she remains the only female DJ to ever win DJ Magazine’s DJ Of The Year award.
The series continues on Friday 25th July with Maslow Unknown, one of underground House music’s most influential tastemakers, before closing on Saturday 22nd August with Nyra, whose recent rise has included Boiler Room appearances, DC10 Ibiza dates and a residency at London’s legendary Adonis.
