London pop-up guru launches Seabird 'hang-out' in Ramsgate
Seabird will be offer all-day dining, killer cocktails and HI-FI sounds
Brand new food and drink hang-out Seabird (@seabirdramsgate) has opened in Ramgsate.
In the former Eats & Beats site on Addington Street, the owners of Seabird have told customers to expect “all-day summer BBQ dining with killer cocktails, tasty wines, freshly brewed local beer, great coffee and laid-back sounds” (played out on a vintage Hi-Fi sound system).
Seabird has been created by Ramsgate residents and hospitality veterans Damian Williams and Stuart Langley.
Damien Williams has run destination cocktail bars in the West End of London, places like Opium Chinatown, La Bodega Negra and Mark’s Bar at Hix. Having moved to Thanet in search of a ‘quieter life, he instead became general manager of Margate’s George & Heart. Seabird will be his first venture as owner-operator, alongside Stuart who is a multi-site operator with a 30-year history of opening award-winning bars and restaurants.
The man behind Disappearing Ding Club, Stuart was a pioneer of the pop-up restaurant and immersive dining scene in London. Stuart still owns two pubs in London but has been looking for the right outlet in Ramsgate having moved to the town with his wife in 2016.
