Kent boxer Chev Clarke (@teamc4chev) will face Lewisham’s Ellis Zorro for the British cruiserweight title on May 25th in Leeds.

As part of the undercard for the Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall 2 show, the unbeaten Clarke will take his 8-0 record into the ring for another belt.

Vacated held by Issac Chamberlain, Gravesend’s Clarke has had his eyes set on the British title since his impressive win against Tommy McCarthy in Belfast back in January.

Zorro (17-1) was beaten by Jai Opetaia last time out in Saudi Arabia, but has an impressive CV.

Chev has already bagged the WBA Inter-Continental Cruiserweight belt as well as the IBF International Cruiserweight title, which he won back in September 2023 by beating the Czech Republic’s Vasil Ducar by unanimous decision at the OVO Arena, Wembley.

Having signed with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing in 2022, Clarke has won all eight fights (six by KO) since turning professional, having previously represented Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

In an online interview Hearn said he believes Clarke will “go on to become a World Champion”.

We think so too! Go get it Chev!
