Kent Hotshot Nathan Hales wins Olympic Gold medal at Paris 2024

Medway man breaks Olympic Record in the process

Team GB's Nathan Hales won gold in the men's trap shooting breaking the Olympic record in the event and almost matching his own world record.

Entering his first ever Olympic Games, the 28-year-old from Medway in Kent made a staggering 48 of his 50 shots… only one away from of his own world record of 49 shots made, which he set at Lonato in 2023 at the ISSF World Cup stage.

The Rochester marksman has been in fine form having taken a silver at the World Championships in Osijek, Croatia, which secured his spot at Paris 2024.

China's Ying Qi won silver with 44 shots made, while Guatemala's Jean Pierre Brol Cardenas won bronze with 35 shots made.
