Chev Clarke remains undefeated after a stunning second round knockout on the Dillian Whyte undercard at the weekend.
Cheavon (Chev) Clarke, capped off an impressive year with a perfect record of 4-0, after making his professional debut back in February.
Chev stopped Argentinian, Jose Gregorio Ulrich (17-6) in the second round with a devastating uppercut, which left Ulrich unable to continue.
Clarke has been praised for his restraint and discipline to hold back from firing more shots at Ulrich after the blow that brought the bout to a close, with the referee calling a halt to the contest seconds later.
Speaking moments after the fight, Clarke commented: “My TEAMC4 family had OVO Arena, Wembley popping last night. I am so grateful to everyone who came to support me. It was a good win and that uppercut is my favourite shot. I saw that he was hurt and I’m not a man that hits someone in that condition. I’m just glad he’s alright, that’s somebody’s son at the end of the day”.
Clarke’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, of Matchroom Boxing, has told media how pleased he is with the Gravesend-based cruiserweight and his progress in his maiden year, with one eye on progression towards potential title fights in 2023.
