Arts organisation Future Foundry has announced the full programme for the highly anticipated second annual Dover Youth Festival 2024: PEOPLE PLACE NATURE CLIMATE, set to take place from Saturday, 26th October to Sunday, 3rd November.

This exciting festival offers young people aged 11 to 19 a vibrant mix of creative workshops, outdoor adventures, and cultural activities across Dover during the Autumn half term.

The programme is now live and available for download, giving participants the opportunity to browse the full schedule of events and sign up for their favourite activities.

This year’s festival is bigger and better than ever, with an exciting array of partners coming together to make the event truly unforgettable. From local businesses and artists to community groups and environmental organisations, a wide network of collaborators have joined forces to offer a diverse and engaging programme of activities. With events hosted by Dover Castle, Dover Museum, local schools and many more partners, the festival is set to provide an even richer, more dynamic experience for the young people of Dover.

Festival attendees are in for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, with a series of exciting, one-off events set in some of Dover's most iconic and unique locations.

Imagine stargazing at the majestic Dover Castle or exploring the rarely-opened Western Heights, the Grand Shaft and Fort Burgoyne, gaining a thrilling glimpse into Dover's rich heritage through creative activities.

For motorbike enthusiasts, a hands-on workshop at the Transport Museum promises a high-octane, immersive experience, while Dover’s first-ever under-19s DJ event at the Art Club gives young talent a platform in an electrifying space.

We’ll be igniting excitement for the future with a careers day like no other, complete with free mocktails and a rare chance to meet professionals working in a range of unusual and exciting industries.

With each event uniquely curated to celebrate Dover's youth culture, this festival is an unmissable opportunity for young people to experience the town in a whole new way.

The festival was born out of a 2023 survey conducted by Future Foundry, which revealed that young people in Dover are already engaged with culture and the outdoors but are eager for more opportunities to connect with creative and nature-based activities.

In response, Future Foundry launched this festival to provide a platform for youth to explore their passions, develop new skills, and realise their potential to influence the world around them.
