Ashford to host world premiere of Jasmin Vardimon’s new dance production 'Lullaby'

This autumn, Ashford will host the world premiere of Lullaby (2026), a major new dance theatre production by the internationally-renowned Jasmin Vardimon Company, led by acclaimed choreographer Jasmin Vardimon MBE.
Developed and produced at the company’s creation space, JV H.O.M.E., on the Henwood Industrial Estate in Ashford, Kent, the production marks a significant cultural moment for the town.
Now entering its fourth year in Ashford, JV H.O.M.E. has established itself as a centre for world-class dance creation, offering local audiences the opportunity to experience major new contemporary dance work in an intimate studio setting.
Ashford Borough Council is a co-commissioner of Lullaby, which has been created with both local and international artists. Some of the performers trained through the Jasmin Vardimon Company’s professional development programme, JV2, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to developing exceptional talent at an international level.
Set against the stark, clinical backdrop of a hospital environment, Lullaby (2026) explores the fragile dualities of human life: joy and despair, vulnerability and resilience, sickness and wellbeing. With her signature fusion of wit, poignancy and visceral theatricality, Vardimon continues the legacy of Lullaby while forging an entirely new path.

Lullaby will premiere in Ashford before touring the UK to venues including Sadler’s Wells East, King’s Theatre in Scotland, Liverpool Playhouse, DanceEast and Theatre Royal Nottingham.
Lullaby is co-commissioned by Sadler’s Wells, Ashford Borough Council and DanceEast.
