Kent restaurants chosen for National Pizza Awards challenge

Nomad Pizza Whitstable, Chapter in Canterbury and Ralph’s Margate are among the 16 finalists in this year’s National Pizza Awards

Three Kent pizza pros have been selected to go up against the country’s best in a battle to showcase the perfect pizza.

Nomad Pizza Whitstable (@nomad_pizza_whitstable), Chapter PIzzeria in Canterbury (@chaptercanterbury) and Ralph’s Margate (@ralphsmargate) are among the 16 finalists in this year’s National Pizza Awards.

Chefs from each restaurants will compete in a series of challenges on November 22nd at Islington Metal Works, starting with cooking their signature pizza in front of judges.

Ralph’s is its Cavolo Nero, Chapter’ is the Pizza Fantasia and Nomad’s the Quetzal.

They will then have to create a technical pizza made up from a specific selection of ingredients supplied from event sponsors.

The event is open to chefs from across the restaurant, quick-service, pubs, bars and hotels industries, giving pizza professionals the chance to showcase their skills.
