FiFi's Brasserie reopens in Maidstone after fire
FiFi’s Brasserie part of Mu Mu in Maidstone, has reopened with its unique artwork and decor
A popular brasserie has welcomed back its first customers today just two months on from a huge fire which tore through the roof.
FiFi’s Brasserie (@fifisbrasserie), part of Mu Mu in Maidstone, has reopened with the “usual glitz and glamour” including its unique artwork and decor.
It means the bottomless brunches can restart as well as other dining experiences.
Owner Ciaran O’Quigley told of the hard work and tears that had gone into the reopening in a video posted just half an hour before the doors opened to customers.
“We were down on the floor but we’ve come back,” he said. “We managed to get the restaurant back on its feet with the usual glitz and glamour and crazy artwork that we normally do.
“Thank you to all the Mu Mu customers, the general public and everyone who has supported us.”
Mu Mu is made up of two buildings on Week Street and part of it was able to reopen soon after the fire in July.
FiFi’s Brasserie, however, needed major refurbishing.
The cabaret nights are expected to restart in the coming months and it is hoped the nightclub will reopen next year.
