Climbing Walls completed at F51 skate park in Folkestone
South East's newest, tallest lead climbing facilities includes a 15-metre main wall, with 18 climbing lines and more than 30 graded routes
After a couple of years of delays, F51 in Folkestone (@folkestone51) has announced the completion of its climbing walls.
The South East's newest, tallest lead climbing facilities includes a 15-metre main wall, with 18 climbing lines and more than 30 graded routes with vertical, slab and steep overhang roof sections.
The wall also features two dedicated climbing speed walls, both equipped with Head Rush Tech auto belay units and speed timers to test both speed and endurance.
Graded routes have been initiated from 4+ to 7c to ensure an inclusive experience catering for all from the first-timers to the world leaders, proudly offering something achievable for all abilities.
F51 will be offering a range of introductory courses in top-roping and lead climbing to equip new climbers with the skills needed. Expect clubs, coaching and taster sessions for a range of ages to make sure all new climbing enthusiasts are confident at both lead climbing and belaying.
For training, fun or general practise, our bouldering walls features 230 sqm of further climbable surface. With a range of routes and blocs up to 4m high, the bouldering space is a great area to test your ability.
The area also features hang boards and campus rungs for anyone looking to condition their finger strength. Bouldering walls complete the climbing experience at F51, providing climbers of all levels and ability with an additional range of problems to practise climbing.
The completion of the climbing walls marks an exciting milestone in the journey to launch this year.
As work wraps up on the remaining timber-based skatepark floors, F51 continue to prepare to accommodate the South Eastern skateboarding, BMXing and climbing scenes while also catering to the growing national and global interest in all three sports.
