Stark’s ‘little sister’ Dos has opened its doors in Broadstairs and it’s promising great things on ‘sexy ‘small plates
Located in the original home of Michelin-starred Stark - which has reopened just down the same street in a new spot on Oscar Road - Dos Broadstairs (@dosbroadstairs) is here.
The restaurant, run by Ben and Sophie Crittenden, has been 18 months in the making.
It comes off the back of plans to relocate their critically-acclaimed restaurant Stark to new premises and open a tapas restaurant in the original building.
Dos has now opened with 10 covers and offers snacks including smoked almonds, croquettas and maple glazed sausages.
Also on the menu are small plates of octopus with chorizo and tomato, chilli con carne with polenta and puffed rice, and iberico presa with apple and tender stem broccoli, which are sure to pull in the foody folk.
It all sounds rather tasty and undoubtedly we’re going to see the five star reviews rolling in.
“Dos has been 18 months in the making and since we were shut down for the first lockdown we’ve had a little paint and a jig around,” the couple announced on social media.
“Now serving some sexy small plates with a short wine list by bottle or glass.
“We love how it’s turned out and hope you guys do too.
“Thanks to the guys that helped get this place open; it’s been a rollercoaster.”
