The Dover smART Project Community Art Gallery is a welcoming, creative space at the heart of the local community. More than just a gallery, it is a place where people come together to connect, express themselves and feel supported.
Proudly running a wide range of community groups from the gallery, the smART Project supports young carers and their families, older people, people living with dementia and their carers and individuals affected by cancer. These groups offer safe, inclusive environments where participants can build friendships, access peer support and take part in creative and wellbeing activities that help reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
The gallery also hosts a vibrant programme of community exhibitions that celebrate local artists, lived experience and shared stories, helping to give a voice to the community and make art accessible to everyone. There are fundraising events throughout the year, using creativity to raise vital funds that allow the community work to continue and grow.
The space is also available to hire for exhibitions, meetings, workshops and events, making it a flexible and affordable venue for individuals, community organisations and charities.
