Broadstairs Food Festival returns for Autumn 2025

One of Kent’s most beloved foodie events is back!

With the end of a glorious summer, Broadstairs Autumn Food Festival (@broadstairsfoodfest ) is the next notable step on the county’s calendar. The three-day weekend (3rd to 5th October) will be an epicurean delight with a full Festival Marquee programme.

This historic coastal town’s festival draws thousands of food-lovers each year, promising an action-packed weekend full of immersive culinary theatre and some of the region’s top talent.

Almost 100 of Kent’s finest producers:  It wouldn’t be the Broadstairs Food Festival without championing Kent talent. The Victoria Gardens, with their unique clifftop location, will be awash with an impressive range of almost 100 traders of local and regional products, including ales and ciders, award-winning bakery, confectionery, pickles, preserves and cheese.

Festival Marquee: Throughout the three days, there will be a cast of exceptional chefs taking to the stage, including Michelin-starred Stephen Harris of The Sportsman at Seasalter, Broadstairs newbies Tony and Becky Rodd of Fifteen Square Metres and National Chef of the Year finalist 2024 Craig Edgell of Buoy and Oyster in Margate.

Ticketed events: Ale-lovers will be offered a rare opportunity to meet local brewers and experience the unique taste of green hop ale. It is a limited-edition ale, particular to harvest time.

No festival would be complete without a wine-tasting. This autumn, the festival will feature two taste sessions. Biddenden’s Tom Barnes will partner Steve Parker as they share their twin passions of cheese and wine, while Alex Prymaka closes the weekend with a twist: a blind wine-tasting session to tease palates. A lively session and a fitting end to the festival weekend.

Foot tapping: A festival is not a festival without music. There is ample outdoor seating around the bandstand, with local musicians on Friday and Saturday, closing with Thanet Concert Band on Sunday (music 2pm-4pm).

Community Interest Company: Broadstairs Food Festivals are managed as a Community Interest Company, run by local volunteers on a not-for-profit basis and reliant on the traders, sponsors and public donations to bring two amazingly successful, fun, friendly, joyous festivals.
