BITE CLUB: Review - The Bus Cafe, Margate

THE BUS CAFE, MARGATE

@thebuscafe

We couldn’t believe it had been almost 44 issues of ‘cene Magazine since we last visited, and chatted about The Bus Cafe - nearly 10 years. In fact the birth date of the magazine is only a month apart from that of the bus!

A proud staple of the Margate culinary scene, the old double decker remains steadfast in its ability to offer an amazing dining experience, coupled with stunning views from The Sun Deck. So, with a big day out in the town planned, it was only right to start the day by catching The Bus. “A single ticket to…. Meaty Crumpet Slider (£8), please!”

One mumbled egg (part scrambled, part fried - it’s a piece of art), what a dash of salt and pepper, sprinkled with crispy bacon lardons and homemade pickled onions. Hungry yet? Add a dash of mustard aioli, some toasted seeds, spinach and balsamic glaze, and serve it on a classic crumpet…simply, delicious. We added some beautiful and crunchy hash browns on the side for a great breakfast. We expected nothing less. All aboard.
