Three little pigs are home from market and ready to be wrapped in blankets after an incredible year! This is the final instalment of the 2017 ‘cene collection, and it is a collection… you best not be throwing this away. Did you know that 2017 was the Chinese Year of the Rooster?

Maybe it gave cocky bastards like us that extra oomph to crow. Or maybe we made it this far because we wanted to do something different. And along the way we have shown there are actually quite a lot of people out there who also want to do something different in the county.

So first and foremost, a thank you to everyone who has been a part of the ‘cene. This year has been a whirlwind, with fashion shoots, record launches, festival partnerships, design awards and coverage of the outstanding creativity that you lot are pushing into the spotlight.

Don’t stop now, we are all onto something amazing. I think I’m going to cry… and the Oscar goes to… But now for the best bit, the new issue. Move over Pistols, we talk Sex Pastels with punk painter Daisy Parris. Comedy writer and Russell Brand’s muse, Matt Morgan, reveals the Kent locations that have shaped him.

BBC Introducing DJ and producer Casey Heyburn collates his ones to watch on the Kent music scene. Like Beppe Di Marco’s lovechild, our foodie features are part East End pie and mash and part authentic Italian. That’s bloody Belissimmo, you mug! We spend 48 hours in Barcelona with a Catalonian; speak skateboarding lingo with Skate Pharm owner Nic Powley and team rider James Bush; and get sparkly with Style Space columnist Siobhan Maroney.

The fashion shoot comes from Folkestone in the shape of The Quarter Masters and we beer map the best breweries in the county. What more do you want?
