REVIEW: SHOULD I VISIT VAMPIROS IN DEAL?
Popping up at The Lighthouse in Deal, Vampiros Taqueria has been serving up hot Mexican munch
Popping up at The Lighthouse in Deal since August, Vampiros Taqueria (@vampirostaqueria) has been serving up hot Mexican munch on Saturday lunchtimes to a soundtrack of local acts and DJs (and work from local artists).
Collaborating with its hosts, who are known for bringing the best live music to the town, the atmosphere is electric and the food is ace.
Take your pick from the menu options of Tacos! Tacos! Tacos!, Burrito Fo’ Ya Mama, Quesadilla Por Favor and Other Stuff (Still Bangs).
Created by pop-up scran purveyor Citizen Eats, on our visit to Vampiros we pretty much had everything. But the pick-outs for us were the Burrito Pork Pibil Conchinita - with its tender, slow-cooked pork shoulder with pineapple salsa and pink pickled onions. Pow! Also watch out for the Taco Birria Quesataco, which is made up from slow-cooked beef, melted Mozzarella and a pot of broth for dunking!
There’s also something for the veggies with the Hongo El Guapo Taco - grilled mushrooms with charred Mozzarella and salsitas, coriander and onion! Crunch.
