REVIEW: Should I visit Catch in Ramsgate?
Served up on decorative kitsch plates, the fussless dishes emanate flavour and beauty
A monthly pop-up in the newly-decked-out Camden Arms, Catch is, as it says in its tagline, 'No Thrills, Just Gills', letting the seafood and local ingredients do the talking.
Based on the fishermen's haul from that period, Catch (@catch_ramsgate) offers its set menu of three courses and a welcome drink for a bargain £29.50.
Aimed at filling the fishy void, somewhere between cod & chips and a posh-nosh meal, Catch has a goal and, after just three events, the good word is already spreading.

On our visit, an aperativo of Tinto de verano (red wine and lemon soda), with a plate of anchoives, olives and bread got things moving along nicely. This was folowed by grilled seabream with chipped rosemary roast potatoes and a tomato and cucumber basil salad.
The extra dish (optional) was a hillock of grilled garlic and parsley prawns. We finished with grilled peaches topped with honey, crème fraîche and pistachios. So, should you visit Catch… yes, yes you should. Fresh!
