New Whitstable Cinema to serve up cult classics

The Black Pearl Cinema will pop-up at The Horsebridge Centre




A new cinema is coming to Whitstable, promising an imaginative and innovative take on the repertory screenings format.

Launching on 1st October 2025, 6:30pm at the Horsebridge Arts Centre, the Black Pearl Cinema is launching an exciting new programme of cult classics, curated by Kent-based media professionals Mark Banville and Michael O'Connell.

Black Pearl Cinema will screen films you'd never see at a multiplex, zooming in on lost treasures, with a regular monthly theme brilliantly framing the programme.

Tickets for each evening is £11 which will include an introduction from a curator and a free drink.

October’s line-up is under the theme of ‘The Sea’.

- 1st October 2025 6.30pm - Pandora & The Flying Dutchman

- 15th October 2025 at 6.30pm - Piranha (1978)
