Mad Dog Brewery opens tap room in Tunbridge Wells, Kent
A range of freshly-prepared pizzas and bar snacks will also be available
More than 300 years after starting life as the brewery for the first hotel in Tunbridge Wells, an historic venue has re-opened as the town’s newest tap room.
Mad Dog Brewery Co celebrated the official opening of its latest tap room, which is on the Lower Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. The pub is located in the beer cellar of what was once The Gloster Tavern, and offers craft beer, wine and cocktails to those looking for somewhere different to socialise.
The Welsh brewery prides itself on catering for all drinking preferences while offering their own beers made of all natural ingredients, as well as a range of freshly-prepared pizzas, and bar snacks. All of Mad Dog’s 14 beers – which include IPAs, lagers and stouts – are vegan and preservative-free, with five gluten-free beers part of the permanent range.
Tim Waters, the founder of Mad Dog Brewery Co, explained: “Our range of drinks is designed to appeal to everyone, making beer more accessible while also ensuring those who prefer wine or spirits are well catered for.
“It was great meeting people during our official opening and we look forward to becoming a part of the Tunbridge Wells community.”
The Mad Dog Brewery Co tap room can be found at 39-41 Lower Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells. It is open daily from 3pm until 11pm in the winter, 12 noon until 11pm in the summer.
