Kent backdrops feature in Spider-Man: Brand New Day film
Kent Film Office has confirmed the production visited the county

The fourth movie in the Marvel Cinema Universe’s Spider-Man film series, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has used a number of Kent backdrops to film various scenes.
The film, which follows Peter Parker as he anonymously protects New York City against a powerful new threat, as always, headed to The Historic Dockyard in Chatham, for use of Turk’s Boatyard, which doubles for a villain’s lair, and HMS Cavalier - Kent Film Office has confirmed.

The film stars Tom Holland (The Current War (2019), Spider-Man: Homecoming) as Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Zendaya as MJ.
Set on the River Medway, the Dockyard contains more than 100 buildings dating from the Georgian and Victorian periods. Recent productions to have filmed there include A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story (2025), Series 2 of SAS Rogue Heroes (2025) and The Thursday Murder Club (2025).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 31st July 2026.
