The Tiger Inn in Stowting has been named as one of the best in the UK alongside almost 100 others

Destination pub The Tiger Inn (@tiger_inn) in Stowting near Ashford has been named best in Kent in the National Pub & Bar Awards 2022.

Some 94 pubs and bars across the UK scooped the prestigious County Winner award with The Tiger Inn winning the Kent title.

The pub, in its own words, offers “the most local and seasonal produce to deliver fantastic gastro food with a twist”.

There’s real ales, craft beers and cracking wine, too, all served within the beautifully designed venue.

There’s also Birchie’s on the first floor, a private dining space for special occasions.

The National Pub & Bar Awards is hosted by Pub & Bar magazine, and sponsored by Hellmann’s, Kegstar, Kingfisher, Knorr and St Pierre.

The event aims to put exemplary on-trade businesses across the UK in the national spotlight, showcasing the hospitality industry’s diversity, creativity and importance to the economy.

The winning pubs were selected on overall best practice across a number of categories.

They will be officially crowned at a red carpet celebration at 30 Euston Square on Wednesday, June 22.

At the grand final, 15 regional winners will also be announced, as well as the esteemed accolade of overall National Pub & Bar of the Year.
