The Kooks frontman plays impromptu sing-song in Whitstable
Luke Pritchard was taking in some music at The Duke of Cumberland
The frontman of legendary indie band The Kooks performed an impromptu rendition of classic track “She Moves in Her Own Way” at The Duke of Cumberland in Whitstable on Sunday 28th of August.
Having been in the crowd for a performance from Canterbury soul artist Samuel Ashton , Luke Pritchard borrowed a guitar and wowed the crowds with a couple of the hits at the venue, which is renowned for enticing huge acts (in fact, our pal Beans on Toast spoke about it with us HERE).
The Kooks, who have released three singles this year, shot to fame in the mid-2000s with the release of platinum-selling album Inside In/Inside Out (2005), gaining chart success for tracks like ‘Ooh La’, ‘Naïve’ and ‘Seaside’.
Did you know… ‘Naïve’ has so far had 457 million plays on Spotify alone!
The Kooks, who are about to embark on a worldwide tour, have also released album ‘10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark’ recently.
Originally from the Worthing/Brighton area, Luke is now a Kent resident, and clearly doesn’t mind jumping up on stage for a bit of fun. And we are totally here for that! Cheers Luke!
