New ‘experiences’ venture offering the alternative day or night out in Kent
From aerial hoop sessions to rock-climbing, Say Yes goes against the grain to make you explore your more adventurous side
A new experiences platform which will leave you swinging (literally) from the rafters has been launched, opening up adventures you may never have said yes to before.
From an aerial hoop class to pasta making, pole dancing, skateboarding and speed boating - the premise behind Say Yes (@say_yes_experiences_) is ‘if not now, then when?’.
Created by former events manager Emma Wragg, from Broadstairs, the venture has already gained traction with thrill-seekers - and even those not typically looking for a thrill - taking up unique experiences across Kent they might never have considered, or come across, before.
Emma specifically tailors the events to offer something a bit different than your average day or night out, and has booked activities through companies including Kent Surf School, Phase Studio Margate, Rotten Ramsgate Tours and GO2Sea Ramsgate.
Her curated packages - initially trialled to see what the interest would be - have ended up being a sell-out each time.
There’s been skateboarding lessons and a ‘skate date’ along Ramsgate clifftop, aerial hoop classes, rock climbing and a dawn coastal bike ride and sea dip.
Pasta making classes with the delectable YUM DMC (@yum_dmc) had a waiting list so long that extra sessions had to be put on.
Emma’s Say Yes group has also inadvertently created a group of sea swimmers who head out in all weathers for a dip. Yes, even in the winter. Bonkers.
“It’s all about encouraging people to explore their adventurous side and try some of the most enriching and exciting activities Kent has to offer,” she explains.
Her quest now is to bring even more experiences to people in the county and she’s on the search for other businesses to get on board and collaborate.
“There are many more events to come - there would have been more but the restraints of Covid hampered that,” she said.
“Now 2022 is here. I'm looking to hear from more businesses throughout Thanet and Kent that have experiences to offer to locals and visitors.”
