R.A.E. - MINE

Thamesmead rapper and singer-songwriter R.A.E releases infectious new track Mine. From melting R&B vocals to rap vignettes, R.A.E has got range. Elements of chill-hop tinted with 90’s nostalgia beats Mine highlights the feeling of cementing your love for someone.
Speaking on the track R.A.E explains “Mine’, is self-explanatory. It is about reassuring your lover that you are not going anywhere and vice versa. I feel like it's one of those songs to make you scream from the top of your lungs about the love of your life, whilst also appreciating them. It’s also a highkey bop, you’re going to have to dance to it regardless if you have a lover or not, haha.” We can vouch for that. Confirmed.
PLAYGROUND CHAMPIONS - THE THINGS I WANNA DO
Insta: @playground_champions
New Margate alty-synthy-pop group Playground Champions were formed in the pandemic.
Unable to get in a room to play together, they used WhatsApp and Dropbox to record our debut EP Things I Wanna Do. And then the bloomin’ ITV producers heard it and stuck some of their tracks in their new sitcom Buffering. With the title track’s been played on the radio as part of BBC Introducing it hasn’t been a bad start for a band who’ve never played together.
Described as ‘full of funk and feeling, summery sounds with the nostalgic feel of 2000s synth-pop, with shades of M83, The Temper Trap and Churches’. Launchpad.
LARRY PINK THE HUMAN - BISOUSxxx

Tripping from acoustic melody into synth-dripping, electronic indie pop hooks, LARRY PINK THE HUMAN have continued with their impressive start to life with another breathtaking track - BISOUSxxx.
About to embark on their first group of live shows, the band already have that air confidence about what they are producing, as if they’ve creating their own very unique brand of thought-provoking dream-state music. In the new track, the poignantly repeated phrase “not forgetting, not forgetting’ ensures you adhere to its command.
The band, which is made up of Laurie Vincent (Slaves) and award-winning producer Jolyon Thomas, began as a collection of songs which were written by Laurie during a time of deep personal loss, which he then presented to producer Jolyon Thomas, before the duo started the journey to become LARRY PINK THE HUMAN.
Jolyon, whose previous production credits include Kendrick Lamar’s Damn LP, as well as albums with U2, M83 & Royal Blood (with whom he won 2018’s MPG Breakthrough Producer of the Year), elevated these heartfelt tracks into technicolored anthems that are representative of LPTH’s ethos: disregarding genre constraints in favour of creative freedom. Companionship.
KWES E - VINO VILLAIN
Insta: @kwes.e
“Tell ‘em i’m a real vino villain”… Canterbury’s Kwes e, part of the Escape Plan group, has produced a laid back banger, complete with beautifully chilled Cali-sounding hook but the distinctive Brit-rap lyrics.
It feels like a refocus of the mind as kwes e aims and strives to be “hustlin’ and workin’” into a better situation. “I’m gonna get that Tesla Truck and go zoomin’” he says. But he is, for now, chillin’. Easy on the sippin’ , the lyricist manages to even weave in a few grape varieties in there. As we’ve said before, he is effortlessly descriptive. Calm.
