SHAPES x THE ARCTURIANS - ONLY U
Peaks, drops, and plenty of bass - Only U is new track released by Folkestone’s Shapes in collaboration with The Arcturians. Haunting vocals, building keys and an infectious beat, make this a party tune to enjoy.
Sit back, relax and think of the summer. Cocktail anyone?
THE ALCHEMY - BLOSSOM
Canterbury alt-rockers The Alchemy have released their new single ‘Blossom’.
Taken from their new album 'Idle Ghosts' (out May 20th), the track starts with a bright riff before the mood turns to anger.
“Where’s the sun, it don’t shine on me… it beggars belief,” sings vocalist Rhys Taylor, who says of the single: “Blossom was written as a way to compartmentalise my continuous overthinking. I have this ability to over pressurise myself with what I need to be achieving.”
The heavy guitars kick in as that pressure is released in an explosion of emotion, distortion and thudding drums. Energy burst.
MAZZ - I HATE MYSELF IN <3
A member of Canterbury collective [escape plan], MaZz has blown our minds with new track ‘I hate myself in <3’.
Smooth keys, synths and even a bit of jazzy flute are the cloud on which soul-filled vocals float, allowing a tale of lust and not-recognising ones self when under the spell of love, to pour across almost four minutes.
Every MaZz track has a total air of realness and natural passion. It’s never forced… just raw talent dancing across the airwaves and beginning a relationship with your ears. Affection.
