NICK NOTES & OC LEE - WRONG ROUTES

Latest release from Kent rappers OC Lee and Nick Notes ‘Wrong Routes’ is a moody and atmospheric track filled with plunging base notes and reflective lyrics.

‘Wrong Routes’ represents the need to face your demons, accept your wrongs and then move forward for the right reasons.

Renowned for their unique lyrical ability and individual brilliance, OC LEE and Nick Notes transition away from their solo careers and have come together for ‘Wrong Routes’ and previous release “COCO” as part of the OuttaCity collective.
There’s no doubt the pair can spit, but in totally different ways, and that diversity in styles is perfectly displayed on what is a cracking track.

EVAN WILLIAMS - I’LL STICK AROUND

Former front man of Thanet-based band Vendettas - Evan Williams has grown up in Broadstairs and constructs his music using the spiked highs and lows of life in the seaside town.

Out on Peter Doherty’s Strap Originals label, new track ‘I’ll Stick Around’ is Evan’s haunting, introspective second single and brings to the fore the feelings of the loneliness felt within a relationship when communication breaks down.

The methodical, seemingly endless, beat of the drum, complete with the spectre of an unnerving, guitar plucking hook hanging over it, feels like a slow march to the end of… well, in this case, time with a lover. Evan’s ear-pleasing vocals and encapsulating lyrics make it a beautiful but thought-provoking earworm.

XRISTIANA - WAKE UP

L.A.-based Xrstiana has put forward a smooth, and soul-filled banger ‘Wake Up’, collaborated upon with up-and-coming Canterbury producer Witness Records (@witnessrecordsuk).
Mastered by Tory G, Xrstiana’s silky vocals land beautifully onto a blanket of warm hispanic-style guitars and chilled beats, she asks if we can "wait til tomorrow morning, to say goodbye...’ and just save tonight for what it is.

It’s got 2000s summer vibes all over it and that classic feel of a ‘Santana Ft.’ track, which is testament to just how well this release has been crafted.

Bidborough’s Pollena returns with the up-beat and inspirational ‘Lemons’.

Once again proving that she can create pop music that is so catchy it should really be illegal, Pollena took to Instagram to explain the sentiments behind the new track.
