LAZY HABITS - CTRL

With links to Maidstone, Hip Hop outfit Lazy Habits have produced an energetic, angry and musically diverse single CTRL, coming from their third album Vermillion Sands.
The track deals with the feelings of ‘being sold a dream’ and that ‘the box art is not the same as the contents’.
Taking to social media the six-piece band, said: “We have been waiting to give this to you for so long, painfully long. We were playing this song live before things changed and the song itself seems to have taken on a different meaning.”
And they don’t do things by half. Having injected a 13-piece orchestra into the single - not something too many hip hop outfits attempt - the group also shot the accompanying video at an abandoned Futuro house village in Taiwan.
Their upcoming tour takes in Taipei and Kaohsiung before ending at Olby’s Soul Cafe in Margate in May… which will also double as a welcoming gig, as the band make the seaside ton their new home.
POGGY - AMIDST THE OCEAN PINES

Taken from three track EP ‘No more I’, Amidst The Ocean Pines is a track that will stir up emotion. Deal’s Poggy has a voice that is both powerful and delicate simultaneously.
Awash with the feelings of freedom and natural connection, being Amidst the Ocean Pines feels like Poggy is introspecting on the ease of her surroundings in this particularly special place. Soft and melodic folk that is as calming as it is uplifting.
JEFF2JEFF - THE GENIUS

Straight out of the traps in 2022 is the Kent house duo Jeff2Jeff with invigorating new track ’The Genius’.
With a lyrical hook and pumping beat, the track is equally proportioned to be enjoyed on a cabana while quaffing sundowners or as a proper night starter, while house heads can discuss its groovy bassline and zapping tech overture.
Out on the Louder Than Famous label, expect the George Munro Remix to highlight the thriving beats and enhance the funkiest elements of what is an absolute body mover. Likewise, label head Kotapski heads down the tech route for a zinging digi-groove version. Either way, time to wake up and start the party.
SOFT WAX - NOBODY WANTS YOU
Insta: @softwaxsounds
DIY-Pop duo Soft Wax have returned with Nobody Wants You, a track that stems from the loneliness of being liked, but never loved - particularly when the world seems to have paired off.
Having built a studio in an old shed at the end of their garden during the pandemic, 2022 will see the pair release a string of dark and dreamy singles which will grow into a debut EP.
Nobody Wants You captures a heart-to-heart in a garden over a drunken cigarette. Oozing 80s overtones, euphoric melodies, and driving beats, as well as some slices of MGMT and Tame Impala within the vocals.
It is a new direction for the Faversham outfit, and one we will be watching with huge interest!
