New installations at Bedgebury’s Christmas Light Trail 2022
The popular light trail returns to beautiful Bedgebury Pinetum for Christmas 2022
The popular light trail returns to beautiful Bedgebury for Christmas 2022, with brand new installations at the spectacular after-dark experience which runs from 18 November until 2 January 2023.
Installations designed by a range of international artists portray the Kent pinetum in a majestic light, beneath unique canopies drenched in seasonal colour and inspired by the landscape to create a festive adventure for all the family.
Matthew Findlay, Head of UK Trails for Sony Music/Raymond Gubbay Ltd, said: “We are hugely excited by the plans for this year’s trail, with artists creating beautiful, new installations which will provide even more ‘wow’ factor for 2022.”
Tetra Park is a striking new feature by Mandylights, who have been creating incredible artwork experiences in more than 50 countries since 2006.
It is a geometric piece which explores colour progressions through a complicated series of linear pathways. It is made of large-scale colour-changing stars that have been cleverly programmed to music.
Another new installation will be Digital Rain, by Bespsoke Lighting and Video, who specialise in LED technology. This piece, accompanied by a unique soundscape, is made up of multiple batons where the pixel-controlled LED technology has been programmed to resemble falling rain.
The one-mile winter trail is a place where fairy-tale meets fantasy, with towering trees and larger than life flora providing plenty of fantastic selfie moments.
Firmly positioned as unmissable within the UK’s seasonal calendar, Bedgebury boasts more than a million twinkling lights and seasonal sounds, which will fill the air with festive fun.
Independent street food vendors bring a delicious twist to tasty treats on offer. Have yourself a holly, jolly Christmas and complete your walk under the stars with toasted marshmallows, a spiced winter warmer or hot chocolate shared with someone special.
Christmas trails are the perfect way to get together with friends and loved ones, designed for visitors of all ages and is accessible to all to enjoy, just a 20-minute drive from Tunbridge Wells.
Christmas at Bedgebury is brought to you by Sony Music in partnership with Forestry England at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest. The trail is created by Culture Creative.
